Jama Masjid

Just outside the walls of Fatehpur Sikri sits one of the best mosques in India, the Jama Masjid. It's old, ornate, has a big inner courtyard and is busy with atmospheric life. The place was built in 1571, but is still active today.

Heading in. The huge, impressive main gate, Buland Darwaza.

Another bathed in marble concoction, the tomb of Sheikh Salim Chishti and a detail of the elaborate lattice work.

A couple of slices of commerce: the accordion player and merchant.
