The Arubathimoovar Festival Ceremony

While it's busy, busy, busy around the Kapaleeswarar temple, it's the ceremonies in front that are the highlight.

If you're going inside the complex, you must leave your shoes outside. But no one is checking to see if you leave your chappels in the right place. A packed house.

The light of Shiva reaching down?

What's a festival without music? One of the faithful, proudly displaying prayer propaganda.

One of the best mustaches (and looks) in India.
