Kaziuko Mugė, The St. Casimir's Fair In Vilnius

You want tradition? How about a giant fair that dates back to the 17th century, an art, crafts and food extravaganza that celebrates St. Casimir's Day (March 4th). He's the patron Saint of Lithuania and Poland.

Where's everybody going? Time for a parade!

The star of the fair, St Casimir. A look back at the time of St Casimir.

Instead of a key to the city, a pair of felt booties?

Upside down world. Civilian kids holding large guns. Uniformed adults holding musical instruments.

So hot! Women hauling fire!

Bring on the symbols. On the right, the Iron Wolf, a symbol of Vilnius and part of numerous legends (and sports teams' nicknames).

Sun king.
