Port Dickson's Pasar Besar (Big Market)

Every city, town has 'em: traditional markets, usually open air, full of fruits, veggies, meat, seafood and smells. They're also becoming endangered, a victim of the relentless march of the hypermarket.

The Port Dickson market, a bit empty now.

Ayam (chicken) seller. Dried tofu balls, hanging out.

The ikan (fish) vendor.

Sign of the goat. Two for one of..?

No guts, no glory. One reason the old markets are losing customers, the preference for a pre-packaged experience while food shopping. A shame.
